The following technology standards were adopted from the state department of education and assigned to different grade or class levels by staff members at Farwell Area Schools. The standards are further defined by when the standards were to be: Introduced (I), Taught (T) or Mastered(M) to students.
These standards or benchmarks were broken down into: Key Concepts, Essential Questions, Benchmarks, Vocabulary, Integration Level, Instructional Resources and Assessment Examples. The goal was to make this a working, usable, on the web document. The document would provide a source for activities and lessons that would integrate into many curriculums, not just technology. The staff members worked to include lessons of their own and lessons already on the web that would teach or reinforce the benchmarks. Many of these activities are hyperlinked to allow easy access to supporting documents. In addition John Pakledinaz, Dave Sapp and Tom Wilberding implemented an eighth grade assessment device. June 30th, 2006 marks the first time the results for eighth grade technology competency has to be reported to the Michigan Department of Education
